In the month of October the REACH program students visited the ceramic studio during zero period to learn some ceramic basics. Students created pinch pot pumpkin rattles. Students learned to create using the pinch technique, how to join two piece of clay together, and how to glaze their ceramic pieces.
In November the Oakcrest Visual Arts students welcomed University of the Arts Admissions Counselor Anjali Krarustis. Ms. Krarustis shared valuable information pertaining to furthering their studies in the arts, as well as an overview of UArts, the college admission process, portfolio submission, pre-college opportunities, and college life.
