GEH Course Equivalent for Geometry

Geometry Course Number: DCFSP2801
Geometry is a comprehensive course that introduces students to the study of the size, shape, and position of two‐dimensional shapes and three‐dimensional figures. Spatial reasoning and problem‐solving skills are developed through the exploration of the relationships between various geometric figures, as well as properties associated with triangles, quadrilaterals, and other polygons. Geometry provides students with foundational skills and helps build skills of logic, deductive and analytical reasoning.

GEH Course Equivalent for Geometry
[NOT Algebra 2/Trigonometry}

Algebra II Course Number DCFSP2800
Algebra II builds problem solving, reasoning and communication skills. Linear equations, their properties, solutions, and graphs are examined. Matrices, matrix operations, variation, and solutions to linear systems are studied before non‐linear functions are introduced. Quadratic equations are solved through the use of factoring as well as the quadratic formula. Lessons explore rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions along with their similarities, differences, and applications.
