This afternoon at approximately 12:45 p.m., a small grease fire occurred on a cooktop in one of our culinary classrooms. Staff responded out of an abundance of caution by activating the school fire alarm, leading to the evacuation of all staff and students. The fire was extinguished by staff, and Hamilton Township Fire Department responded to clear the alarm. All students and staff have returned to the building at this time, and the school has returned to normal operations.

Their visit was part of an annual campaign during which Oakcrest students raise awareness in their school and community of the dangers of distracted driving.
