Dear Greater Egg Harbor Regional School Community,
In early July, Superintendent John Keenan shared with us his intention to retire this January 1, 2021.
In recent years, Mr. Keenan has helped guide us toward improving our district in all areas. We have completely refreshed our curriculum and added an Early College Program where our students can graduate high school with an Associate’s Degree. We expanded co-curricular programs and increased student participation in these valuable activities. And, with your support, we passed a referendum to improve all schools with increased access to technology, enhanced security and improved HVAC. More recently, you will see solar panels on each school’s campus when we open in October. We thank Mr. Keenan for his service, and his dedication to our students and staff, and we wish him well in his retirement.
Now, we look to the future. We have engaged the New Jersey School Boards Association to assist us in our search for a new superintendent. We plan to build on our recent success. We fully understand there are many challenges ahead of us as we strive to provide the best experience for all of our students and staff. We seek your input and ask for you to complete this survey and share the qualities you feel are essential in our next school leader. As we interview candidates for superintendent, we will use the information you share with us to guide our search.
We value the feedback of all students, parents, and staff. Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey below. We begin interviews later this month and hope to appoint and announce our new Superintendent in October.
