    Air Force Junior ROTC

Air Force Junior ROTC is one of two Magnet Programs at Oakcrest High School. It teaches cadets citizenship and important life skills. Focusing on community service, instruction on air and space science and history, the program uses the United States Air Force Core Values of Integrity, Service and Excellence as its foundation.

By participating in various activities and assuming leadership roles, AFJROTC cadets experience opportunities to develop a sense of responsibility, character and self-discipline.

There is absolutely no military obligation associated with the AFJROTC program. Cadets who go on to college may receive special consideration for ROTC scholarships or for appointments to military academies. Cadets who do decide to join the military after high school graduation are eligible to enlist at a higher pay grade.
