Miss Victoria Duffy
Welcome to the 2020-2021 School year! My name is Miss Victoria Duffy. I am excited to start my third year at Absegami High School and to get my students involved and prepared for their future. With the circumstances we are faced with during this pandemic, there are many challenges when it comes to the new school year. I believe that we can overcome these challenges and get to know each other and learn and grow together.
This year, I will be teaching Restaurant Management and Hospitality, Financial Literacy, and Small Business Entrepreneurship.
I graduated from Rider University in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing Education. My first year teaching (2017-2018) was at Ewing High School in Ewing, New Jersey. I was an in class support teacher for Earth and Space Science, Algebra 2, Biology, and Physics. I also was Assistant Director for the musical production of Hunchback of Notre Dame and Assistant Coach for the JV Softball team. I then came to Gami to teach Accounting, Financial Literacy, and Cyber Security in 2018 - 2019. My first year at Gami, I was the Freshman class advisor and I volunteered to help out with the softball team. In the 2019 - 2020 school year, I taught Accounting, Financial Literacy, and Small Business Entrepreneurship and I was hired as the JV Softball Coach.
My goal for my students is to walk out of my classroom at the end of the day and at the end of the year with not only a better understanding of the content knowledge, but a better understanding of their career aspirations, goals they have, and the world around them.
I will be available after school for extra help and to talk with students most days of the week. I ask that if students would like to stay after, they give me a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
