Details and Course Materials
This year, I am teaching American Literature and College and Career Readiness!
Here's some information about the courses.
American Literature is the 10th-grade level English course. We will explore texts from American authors beginning in the 1600s through the present day. This course is taught with two English teachers: Mrs. Robbins and Mrs. Pintilie
The College and Career Readiness course for 12th graders focuses on skills for test preparation as well as academic success. We will spend time preparing for and taking ASVAB tests, PSATS, SATs, and Accuplacer tests.
Students who do not meet the graduation testing requirements on those tests will work with the teachers to assemble a portfolio of work to submit to the State of New Jersey to meet the graduation requirements.
This class is taught by two teachers: an English teacher (Mrs. Pintilie) and a Math teacher (Mr. Brown). Classes are divided in two groups. One group meeting with the English teacher for language arts skills, while the other group meets with the Math teacher for applicable skills, then the groups switch.
