• Welcome to Honors Digital Video & Editing! In this course, students will apply previously learned techniques of production and performance to the exploration of a wide-range of video production industry topics, as well as career connections and leadership opportunities. In ths student-driven course, experiences range from working with community and business leaders to produce video content, creating news and journalistic pieces for school and local organizations, as well as producing the Senior Video, an annual video yearbook with a 33 year tradition at Oakcrest. Additionally students will assist in the production of school events both in front of the camera, behind the camera and from the stage, helping to produce performing arts events and cover important school functions throughout the year. Due to the nature of this course, additional time spent outside of the normal class period is recommended to complete assigned projects in a timely manner.

Students are not expected to own their own camera, and are allowed to borrow production equipment in school or use their personal phones to take photos and video-while adhering to school policy and guidelines.
