Gary Schafer comes to the district after spending 12 years as an instructor at Atlantic Cape Community College specializing in adult education. As a Microsoft Office Authorized instructor, Gary worked with the local business community, using many state funded grants, to upgrade the technology skills of its workforce. Gary works between Absegami and Oakcrest and has responsibilities at both schools. He is responsible for creating and producing

various reports in a timely manner. Gary also plays a key role in conducing many training sessions to provide the faculty and staff members with vital technological skills.

Gary has a technical degree from Atlantic Cape Community College in Computer Programming. Gary is active in the local 4H, the Atlantic County Model Railroad Club, and is the coordinator of the TechKids program sponsored by local technical schools which introduces children ages 9-13 to programming languages and logic. Gary lives in Egg Harbor Township with his wife Deborah and two sons, Paul and Thomas.
